Wedding Details- All Things Bridesmaid

Let me first start off this post by saying I had the BEST group of girls by my side on my wedding day! I know it is such a cliche thing to say but it is the absolute truth!! Each one of these girls means so much to me and I could not have imagined my wedding day without them! Whether I’ve known them since birth, went through all stages of life together, or met them through Trey, these beautiful women are one of a kind.

Dresses

I knew right away I wanted my bridesmaids to wear emerald green for my December wedding. Emerald green to me is beautiful on everyone, timeless, and brings out a richness of color. When looking at dresses, I was torn between two different fabrics satin and velvet. I thought about using both fabrics, and interchanging them but decided against it. I would have then had to choose a dress for each girl and I wanted them to be able to choose the style they felt best in. I went with velvet because you can only do that fabric in the cold months and it adds a fun texture!

Revelry was the site I chose to pick the dresses from because they had so many different styles in velvet emerald green! They are a completely online dress shop, which makes their try-on process super unique and easy. You can pick up to 10 different styles you want to try on and they ship them directly to you! In researching, I found that they have one of the most inclusive size selections (0- 32) and even offer different lengths to order (petite, regular, and long). They are a growing business and add different styles, colors, and fabrics all the time! A big plus is that they offer matching ties and pocket squares for the men. A new dress they offer now and did not when we ordered is junior bridesmaid dresses! I think this is the best idea because we had to order fabric and find someone to make a dress that looked similar for Jolie.

One of the biggest reasons I chose Revelry was because their dresses did not look too “bridesmaidy” and can actually be worn again. I ended up narrowing down the dress selection to 3 different ones for them to choose from. If you know me, I had to control some aspect of it because I did not want everyone to end up choosing the same dress or a style that I did not like. The different styles were the ” Dylan Velvet Dress“, “Giselle Velvet Dress“, “Gwen Velvet Dress“, and my sister wore the “Tori Velvet Dress“.

Gifts

I gifted my girls five different things, which I gave them after my bridal luncheon that was a few hours before the rehearsal. I decided to give them their gifts at that time, so that they were able to use the gifts the morning of the wedding if they wanted to. I gifted them all a Lilly Pulitzer tote bag which I placed all the other gifts in. The bags worked out perfectly because all the girls brought what they needed for the day in these! I also gave them satin matching pj’s and monogramed slippers. I gifted them these items for the sole reason of taking getting ready pictures in! Sometimes it really is all for the photo ops. Next was a monogramed hanger to be able to hang their dresses on. This made it easy for each of the girls to find their dresses when it came time to get dressed. Lastly, I gifted them Natalie Wood Designs earrings to wear for the ceremony. They were a classic gold hoop with a tad twist. The earrings were unique and can easily be styled with outfits for all occasions. They were called the “Southern Charm” earring but are all sold out now, so I will link the matching necklace. For my junior bridesmaid and two flower girls, I gave them their own monogramed hanger and Jon Hart Pouch with their names.
